Step 1: Get Started

Teaching Kitchen 202 is an immersive culinary and hospitality training program designed to equip aspiring professionals with the skills, knowledge, and ethics required for success in the industry. 

Program Overview

Program Length

15 weeks per session, including 60 instructional classroom hours with your peers, 195 lab hours in a professional culinary space, plus a 400 hour practicum to be completed after coursework is completed.

  • ServSafe® Food Handler
  • Understanding Unconscious Bias in Restaurants
  • Sexual Harassment Prevention
  • Front-of-the-House and Back-of-the-House Operations
  • Basic Business Operations

Admission Requirements

Profile Requirements

  • Age Requirement
    Must be at least 14 years old.
  • Educational Requirement
    No High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Language Requirement
    Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)* is recommended as all classes are taught in ASL.

* If you need to whisk up your ASL, no worries—we have Non-Credit Remedial Courses for ASL at no additional cost as part of our offering!

Health and Safety

Completion of a ServSafe® Food Handler certification is required within the first module of the program.

Tuition and Fees

Total Program Cost: $11,850.00

  • Tuition: $10,695.00
  • Registration Fee: $50.00
  • Technology Fee: $1,105.00

Payment Options

  • Option A
    Pay in two installments – 50% due by week 3 and 50% due by week 8.
  • Option B
    Pay in three installments – 30% due 3 weeks before session start date, with the balance paid in two installments by week 8.
